You really can raise major gifts at your organization! In this session we reveal the results of an important new research project on major gift fundraising organizations reporting an income of $10 million or less. Until recently, relatively little was known about the critical factors that drove success in major gifts. Thanks to a new research project and survey conducted by Dr. Adrian Sargeant and Amy Eisenstein, ACFRE, we now have results that allow us to paint a rich picture of the state of major gift fundraising in organizations. We can answer the question ‘just what does it take to be successful?’ Amy will report the results and explore the implications of the findings for your organization. Amy Eisenstein, ACFRE is an author, speaker, trainer and consultant. Her published books include: Major Gift Fundraising for Small Shops, Raising More with Less, and 50 A$ks in 50 Weeks. She became an AFP certified Master Trainer in 2009 and is a frequent speaker at national and local conferences as well as at staff and board retreats on a variety of topics. 

AFP Member Requirements: Applicant has worked in fundraising for at least one (1) year and be willing to share their experience from the Fundraising Leadership Symposium with AFP Hampton Roads. Following the Fundraising Leadership Symposium, the recipient must agree to serve on a Hampton Roads AFP committee for one year. Scholarship Value $60.00

Non Member Requirements: Applicant must be currently employed in the fundraising profession , have worked in fundraising for at least one (1) year, be willing to share their experience from the Fundraising Leadership Symposium with AFP Hampton Roads, and write a 200 word essay on their experience. Scholarship Value: $75.00

AFP Hampton Roads will award two (2) member and two (2) non member scholarships.
